My landscape paintings originate from places I am familiar with throughout the south, especially north central Florida. I often find subject matter while traveling along the many beautiful scenic roads which are constantly change due to the time of day and season. The light of early morning and late afternoon are my favorite times of day…I strive to capture that feeling of warmth or coolness. I love the long shadows the sun casts when it’s close to the horizon. I’m also drawn to water and enjoy painting scenes from beautiful coastal beaches and marshlands as well as rivers and wetlands.
